Topic: Math

Intelligences: Kinesthetic and Intrapersonal because


students have to move the pieces and it is done
independently

Activity: Use counting circles to solve division


problems

Materials: Counting circles

Directions: Students will use their counting circles to


solve the problem on the board. When completed
they can raise their hand and I will go around and
check. When everyone is done and understands how
to solve the problem, we will move on to the next one.
Content: Simple Division

Topic: Math

Intelligence: Musical and Interpersonal because students can


make the notes into a song and sing the song together to
learn and have fun too.

Activity: Write a song in a group and you have to use the


terms you learned in the song along with the definition of
the word.

Materials: Pen/Pencil, paper, and math terms paper.

Directions: You have to use the math terms you learned and
use them and their definitions to write a song as a group.
Each of you have to write a verse to the song on your own.
Then put them together and turn in your song.

Activities: Draw a picture of your favorite animal doing


division in an everyday scenario

Material : Paper, pencil and crayons

Direction: Students use what they know about division to


draw a picture of their favorite animal using it in an
everyday situation.

Intelligence: Logical because students apply the rules of division


to answer the questions

Activity: Playing a division game

Materials: Paper and pencils or whiteboards and expo markers

Directions: The students will be split into two groups before


coming up with a group name. Then students one by one will
compete with someone from the opposing team. The challenge
will be to answer the division question, that will be given by the
teacher, first. Teams will only get a point for being correct, first
and showing all you work.

Intelligence: Visual because they can draw pictures


of the shapes and can do puzzles.

Activity: You have to draw a picture of the shapes


and then use the numbers to solve it.

Materials: Paper and pencils

Directions: You have to draw any shape that has


three or more sides. Then you have to determine
how long the sides of the shape are. Then you have
to use the numbers and solve the equation using
those numbers.
