Demonstrate Ethical and


Professional Behavior
1.1. Make ethical decisions by applying the standards of
the NASW Code of Ethics, relevant laws and
regulations, models for ethical decision-making, ethical
conduct of research, and additional codes of ethics as
appropriate to context.
•Gaining an understanding of healthy start
policy in regard to my specific program and
situation.
•Referring to the NASW code of ethics when
necessary.
1.2. Use reflection and self-regulation to manage
personal values and maintain professionalism in
practice situations.

• Using self-control in situations I may not be familiar


with to exhibit an unbiased demeanor
• Recognize my own implicit biases and strive to
ensure they do not take a part in my decision making.
