• Mazroui Ranch is an Eco-friendly resort


• located on the shores of Lake Elementaita, District of Nakuru,
Rift Valley, 140 km North West from Nairobi, Kenya.
• Close to Nakuru, 40 km, the land is surrounded by various
reserves where you observe an exceptional variety of animals
such as
• Pink flamingos, Pelicans, Zebras, Antelopes, Baboons, Lions,
Rhinos, Buffalos, Leopards, Hippos, Giraffes, Yeans.

ACCESSABILITY - CLIMATE

• Accessibility to the site is good throughout the year.


• The site lies at an altitude of about 1885m above see level
on a flat terrain. A few extinct volcano bodies are discernible
in the western part of the site.
• The climate is tropical. Rainfall is bi-modal (March-May and
October-December). Mean annual rainfall is approximately
1400 mm.
• Temperatures are highest from January to March; Annual
mean daily minimum and maximum temperatures are 13 to
26 ° C (TAMS, 1980).

Water and Soil History

• Potential evaporation is between 1,800 and 2,000 mm per


year.
• Water Demand from the borehole will be used for domestic
and general purposes within the land and surroundings.
Water requirement is estimated at 20m3/day.
• The site is underlain by mainly volcanic and volcano-
sedimentary rocks of Recent to Pleistocene age. The intense
tectonic activity associated with the formation of the Great Rift
Valley, led to a series of widespread eruptions and lava flows,
which occurred from Upper, Middle and Lower Pleistocene to
Quaternary times, Old Land Surfaces were formed, where
today important water is bearing layers within the volcanic
succession.

Evaluation and Price

1. Land: 12 acres, the market price for the land on the


shores of Lake Elementaita is 960’000 USD(12 X 80,000
USD per acre). The land is fenced since 2015.
2. Housing: 30 – 40 one floor houses will be built (
ground floor: garden view, first floor: see view)
3. Club house: Reception – conferences,
restaurant(Projection)
4. Hot spring swimming pool: the resort is offering the
unique facility of a natural hot spring swimming pool.
2. Water There is a borehole of fresh water with an
output of 11’000 Liter per hour
3. Watchman: there is a watchman who leaves
permanently on the land
