Liner Pipes: SIMONA® PVDF-CV & PVDF-EL-CV

SIMONA® PVDF-CV pipes have a rough and open outer surface that allows bonding
using the same mechanism as with a Polyester backing.
The bonding-mechanism to resins and adhesives is strong mechanical interlocking.
The rough an open CV surface consists of PVDF. Thus the bonding is chemically more
stable than with glass or polyester backed material.

Advantage and Benefit
SIMONA PVDF - Colour Stability
PVDF - Change of color in contact with acids
High risk of broken weld lines during the first weeks/months of operations
When broken weld lines can be detected visually when they appear, the cost or
repair is low. Detection possible since the substrate (FRP) discolorates.
The repair will be expensive when the substrate has been substantially damaged.
