Exam rooms must be large enough to
accommodate wheel chair users;
10 feet by 10 feet is the optimal size

Designing and stocking your exam rooms

identically will save you time during patient
visits.

• A wide variety of exam tables are available
depending on your budget, the procedures you
perform and your patient population.

• Because your patients willlikely spend the

majority of their time in the exam room on the
exam table, make sure it iscomfortable and easy
to adjust. For example, a table that can lower to
