Guidelines

Mr. Garver
• When the bell rings, you are in your seat, garverj@paris95.k12.il.us
prepared for class. If you fail to so do, you (217)-466-3050
are tardy.
• It is YOUR responsibility to bring the proper
materials to class. If you do not bring your
book, notebook, writing utensil, etc., do NOT
expect to go back to your locker!
• You will not be allowed to use the bathroom,
get a drink, etc. after the bell rings [RESPECT]
(emergencies only). If you are doing so when
“An attitude of consideration or high regard”
the bell rings and have not asked, you are
tardy. Don’t make this a habit. It’s simple –
ask before the bell rings!  Respect the rules of this class
• Absolutely NO food, drinks, or gum will be
allowed in the room.  Respect your fellow students
• Follow the handbook at all times
• Cheating is NOT tolerated.  Respect the teacher
• Cell phones are NOT to be in the classroom!

Late Work
& Absent Policy

Late work:
• If you choose to turn in an assignment late, it must be turned in during the
ZAP session for 50% credit.
• If it is not turned in after ZAP, it is a zero. No questions asked.

Absences:
• When you are absent, it is your responsibility to ask for missing assignments.
• When you return from being absent, your missed work will be located in the
assignment crates (day of the wk. you are gone).
Lab
Requirements
[GRADING]
• No baggy clothes – long hair is tied up
• Read entire lab before coming to class – ready
to perform the experiment
• NO eating or drinking in the lab area.
• ZERO tolerance for horseplay in the lab area.
Grading Scale
• Keep lab area neat and clean
• Any accident, regardless of severity, must be A = 100-90 (Excellent)
reported to the teacher. B = 89-80 (Above Average)
• Be aware of your surroundings C = 79-70 (Average)
D = 69-60 (Below Average)
F = 59-50 (Failing)

Science A.R. Point [EXPECTATIONS]
