learning, open learning, e-
learning, online learning or
web-based learning.

Education
Interaction is an important
component of any learning
experience. One of the most
important factors relating to
distance education is the
element of interaction.
Thurmond (2003) defined interaction
as:
“...the learners engagement with
the course content, other learners,
the instructor, and the
technological medium used in the
course. True interaction with these
results in reciprocal exchange of
information. The exchange of
communication is intended to
