Walter Elias Disney (1901-1966)

• Walt Disney is a entrepreneur, innovative


animator and producer.

• He won 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime

• When Disney was just a teenager, he joined the


Red Cross in 1918 and was sent to France for a
year to drive an ambulance to help with the war
effort.

• Disney experienced many failures — including


filing for bankruptcy — before he became a
hugely successful animator and amusement park
creator.
