WHAT IS REGISTRATION PROCESS?

 Registration process is a one-time activity, which is required for every


teller who is to be provided with the biometric access.

 The registration process is used to capture the FPV of the teller. From this
FPV, the minutiae extract is captured and stored in database for matching
and identification process during login.

 This process is to register a teller in a Branch for biometric authentication.


This is a three-step process.

1. Enrollment by Maker (User type 40 or 50 or 60)

2. Authorization by Checker (User type 40 or 50 or 60)

3. Teller enabling by Maker or Checker

WHO CAN REGISTER AND APPROVE?

 Who can Register?


 Tellers 40/50/60 would click on button “Register Teller” to biometrically register
others. Self registration is not possible.

 Who can be authorize?


 Tellers 50/60/40 would authorize and enable teller.
 Self authorization is possible.

ENROLLMENT BY MAKER
 The enrollment is
carried out by users
of type 40 or 50 or
60 (Maker).

 The Maker has to


first login to CBS.

 Teller has the menu


option,

 BMA
Authentication/BMA
Registration

 Click on Enable
Branch. It’s one
time activity.

BMA REGISTRATION SCREEN DESCRIPTION
 Click on Get Tellers.
Then list of Teller will be
display. For display
more tellers Click on
More.

 For registering tellers


who have not yet
registered, the
authorized user needs to
select Teller ID and click
on the “Register Teller”
button. A pop up dialog
window opens which
contains Non-editable
Teller ID, Teller Name
and Textbox for entering
the password.

Note: At the beginning the grid is empty. Only after a given branch has been biometric enabled, any tellers for that branch
can be registered. The “Enable Branch” becomes active after clicking on Enable Branch. Once the branch is enabled, the
“Register a Teller” button becomes active to register tellers.

BMA REGISTRATION

 The respective
teller enters
his/her CBS
Password in the
“Password
Textbox”

 The teller then


clicks on the
“Transmit” button.

 After successfully
verifying the Teller
ID and password
system will prompt
the message to
click on Enroll
button click on OK
then Enroll button
will be enable.

 Then Teller need to


click on Enroll
button.

ON CLICKING ON THE “ENROLL” BUTTON, A POP-UP IS
DISPLAYED DISPLAYING THE TWO HANDS.

CAPTURE IN PROGRESS…

The enrollment will


start by left hand’s
little finger. By
clicking on the
“Capture” button
the Fingerprint
device will prompt
to capture the
finger. After clicking
on the capture
button the message
“Capture in
Progress…” will
display on the
screen.

PUT THE RESPECTIVE FINGER ON THE FINGERPRINT DEVICE
 Every finger has to
capture three times
to get the best
quality of that finger.

 As soon as the
capture is completed
of the finger, the
check mark above
the hand image will
get checked.

 After successfully
capturing all three
attempt for the
finger the arrow will
move to next finger
teller need to click
on “Capture” button
to capture that
finger.

SKIP PARTICULAR FINGER
 If there is any
problem in any
finger you can skip
that particular finger
by clicking on the
“Next” button.

 System will prompt a


message “Finger 2
not captured. Do you
want to skip?”. Then
click on “Yes”.

SKIP PARTICULAR FINGER

Give the reason and press OK as shown in the screen above.

ENROLMENT
 If Any finger which is
not captured due to
some reason will
show on the screen
as X mark above that
finger as shown in
the figure.

 After finishing all


finger “Submit”
button will be
enable.

 Click on the
“Submit” to enroll
the Teller

SUCCESSFUL ENROLMENT

After successful enrollment of the respective teller, a success message will display as
shown in the figure above.

AUTHORIZATION BY CHECKER
 The authorization
will be carried out by
users of type 40, 50,
60(Checker).

 The Checker has to


first login to CBS
using his/her Teller
Id and Password.

 The checker need to


select following
menu option.

 BMA Authentication
/ BMA Authorization.

 Click on “Start
Authorize”.

ON CLICK ON THE SPECIFIED OPTION, A POP-UP IS SHOWN
DISPLAYING THE GRID OF TELLERS TO BE AUTHORIZED.
Select a particular teller and
click on Capture Teller
Biometric to capture the
teller’s finger. Now click on
the Capture Checker
Biometric to capture the
checker’s finger.
After successful capturing of
both Teller and Checker’s
finger click on the approve
button to authorize the
selected teller.
If both teller’s as well as
checker’s biometric is
correct, the selected teller
will get approved and a
successful message will
display at the top of the
screen. Otherwise either
teller’s biometric mismatch
message or checker’s
biometric mismatch will be
displayed.

ENABLE TELLER
 The teller enablement is
carried out by users of
type 40, 50, 60.

 The Checker has to first


login to CBS using
his/her Teller Id and
Password.

 The checker need to


select following menu
option.

 BMA Authentication /
BMA Enable.

 All authorized Teller will


display under Teller ID
grid.

 Select a teller ID and


click on “Enable Teller”
button. On successful
“OK” message will
display above “start”
button.

FIRST TELLER REGISTRATION

 When the branch is biometrically enabled, then the maker needs to register the first teller of the branch.

Note: - The maker cannot be checker.

 So, for the first time registration, the teller needs to follow the following steps.
 They need to enroll themselves from the session of some other teller.
 Then they need to login to b@ncslink and self-authorize themselves.
 Then they need to ask some other teller to enable themselves .
 Then they can login to their system using the biometric approach.

 Once the enrollment procedure for the teller is completed, the teller can login into the B@NCS link application using
biometric login.

 On the login screen, the teller enters his/her user ID, Password, home branch number and terminal number required for login
and clicks on “Transmit” button.

 On click of “Transmit button” a new screen is displayed asking user to provide any of their finger as show in the figure.

 If the appropriate user provides the correct finger (one of the registered fingers), then they are logged in to b@ncslink.

 Else if they provide wrong finger (for e.g. some other user tries to provide their finger or the user provides an unregistered
finger), then an error message is shown displaying “Biometric mismatch. Please check the user id and try login again.”

Login Process

Application Unlock
 If the teller is biometric enabled, teller will get a biometric lock screen if the Bancslink application is idle for
more than 3 min or the user clicks on “lock” button in the toolbar.

 A screen is displayed which contains a Text Box field for password and “submit” button.

 To unlock the screen, the teller needs to entered his/her password and click on “Submit” button.

 The same screen will displayed which appears at the time of login. So the teller needs to follow the same
steps to unlock their screen.

 If the teller presses his/her right finger then the application will be unlocked. Else the same screen is
displayed again and the user needs to follow the same process again. The screen will not be unlocked until
the user presses the right finger.

BRANCH/TELLER DISABLING
 The Branch / Teller
disabling is carried out
by users of type
Parameter teller

 For the enquiry or


modifications of
Biometric information of
the particular branch
and teller Parameter
tellers has a menu
option.

 BMA Authentication /
BMA Disable.

 First the teller needs to


enter the Branch
number and then click
on “Get Tellers” button.

 A list of all tellers of that


branch is shown in the
grid. The grid has Teller
ID, Teller Name and Flag
column.

BRANCH/TELLER DISABLING
 To disable that Branch,
teller needs to select a
row from the grid and
then click on “Disable
Branch” button. This
would biometrically
disable the branch

 To disable a teller, teller


needs to select a row
from the grid and then
select “Disable” from
Teller Biometric
dropdown and click on
“Transmit” button. This
would biometrically
disable the teller.

Modify Registration
 In the modification
process the teller
biometric needs to be
captured again and
entire process will be
same as enrollment
process.

 For modifying the teller


must be disabled in
CBS. To disable a teller,
he/she need to ask a
parameter user to
disable them.

 The re- enrollment


would be carried out by
users of type 40 or 50 or
60 (Maker).

 The Maker has to first


login to CBS.

 Maker need to go to
menu option BMA
Authentication / BMA
Registration

Modify Registration
 Then, User needs to
click on “Get Tellers”
button. A grid
containing teller
information shall be
displayed to the user
The re- enrollment
would be carried out by
users of type 40 or 50 or
60 (Maker).

 The user needs to then


select the desired teller
from the grid by clicking
on the appropriate row
and then click on
“Modify registration”
button.

CAPTURE EXISTING FINGER

In case of Modify Registration, you have to first give anyone of your enrolled finger by
clicking on the “Capture Existing Finger” and then give the finger as while enrollment.
