Sample experience procedure
This procedure has 2 main stages

Stage 1: Sample experience procedure
Step1: Preparation machine

•Heating machine should be placed near the fume-hood

•Start heating 30 mins before using
 Step2: Preparation sample

Step3: Insert tube to heating machine

1. Insert tube to
heating machine
2. Press Start button
Time heating 30 mins

Start button

Place the heating machine near fume-hood

Step4: Cooling and mixing tube

1. Cooling to room
temperature 18~25oC
2. Adding 2ml NaOH 1.54N
solution

2. Close the cap
Mix the tube thoroughtly

3. Stand the sample 7~9 mins

The phosphovanadomolybdate
complex formed between the

is bright yellow in color

high optical absorption for filtration
(to minimize sample contamination).

Step1: Choose the program
1. Turn on the machine
2. Select the program
(Press Stored Programs) 3. Choose the program
Use Up and Dowwn button to choose
the program : 542 P Total HR TNT
Then Press Select

Step2: Measuring procedure

1. Measuring the blank

Pour the blank into the

cuvette
Dry the cuvette
with a soft cloth
Insert the cuvette into the
instrument and close the lid
 Press Autozero ?
Replace the blank
by sample
Close the lid
Press Read button
and record the result

Push ZERO. The display shows 0.0 mg/L PO4 3–

Push READ. Results show in mg/L PO4 3– .

According to the sample's PO43- content and

characteristics, be properly diluted to make
the PO43- content <100.0 mg/L
Calculating

 Calibrate the machine
Use standard phosphate 50 mg/l to identify PO43-
The error should be in the acceptance criteria ± 0.6 mg/l PO43-

Repeat for each 6 months

 Note
• Samples must be analyzed immediately for best
results
• Wear heat resistant gloves and protective gear when
handling sample
• The cover of the measuring tube must be locked to
ensure that the liquid in the tube does not overflow
• Collect and classify chemicals after analysis
• Wash device, hygiene area and checking equipment
everyday
