 UIVT is a dedicated unit carved out
from AROH Foundation with an
objective to cover the poorest and
the most marginalized within the
slums / rural population in Delhi,
U.P., Haryana and Rajasthan for
livelihood empowerment.

 UIVT aims to reduce social and
economic vulnerability for livelihood
consolidation through market-driven
skills training modules that enable
skills upgradation to match
contemporary market requirements.

(MFI) and provides loan component to
the members of Self-Help Group for
micro business enterprises as
facilitating agency.

Total beneficiaries about 2000 in three years.

generated for the passouts.

 The projects are generally run from the Community Centres.
 With a single programme manager, multiple activities are
designed.
 The Gram Pradhans are the active participants in the
projects.
 Community Participation in the project ensures the
accountability and success. Trainers are trained within the
community.
 Volunteers and youth councils are made within the
community
 Utilization of agro waste and indigenous resources
Replicability and sustainability

The project works on a holistic approach and offers


sustainable livelihood solutions to all groups/sections
in the community, i.e. the unemployed youth, illiterate
and landless and those with backyards and small left-
over land holdings.
It is a demand and supply model - works out its
strategies around the demand of the industries.
