Structural geology deals with the origin, geometry, and

kinematics of formation structures. Structure geology is similar
to architecture in that both require an ability to visualize object
in three dimentions as they change through time.

Geoloogi struktur mempelajari tentang bentuk asal, geometri

dan kinematika dari struktur. Geologi struktur itu semacam ilmu
arsitektur dimana keduanya memiliki kemampuan untuk
memvisualisasikan suatu benda dalam bentuk 3 dimensi.

Structural geology can be most succinctly defined as the

study of the architecture of the earth’s crust, in so far as it has
resulted from deformation ( Buillings, 1972. p. 2)

Geologi struktur bisa secara ringkas diartikan sebagai

suatu ilmu yang mempelajari tentang bentuk arsitektur dari
kerak bumi dan gejala-gajala geologi lainnya yang dihasilkan
dari suatu deformasi ( Billings, 1972. p. 2)

to the application of deformation force and with the
structure that result from deformation.

Geologi struktur mempelajari tentang cara menjawab

dalam aplikasi perubahan bentuk batuan dan struktur itu
dihasilkan dari suatu deformasi.

Structural geology is concerned with all aspects of the

earth’s crustal distortion. It is a descriptive science which
needs its own systematic classification of rock deformation
comparative structural geology.

Geologi struktur mempelajari tentang semua gejala –

gejala dalam pergerakan kerak bumi. Secara deskriptif ilmu
ini membutuhkan klasifikasi secara sistematis dalam
perubahan bentuk pada batuan.
