maintaining international peace and security,
developing friendly relations among nations
and promoting social progress, better living
standards and human rights.”

MAIN GOALS

①To keep peace throughout the world


②To develop friendly relations among nations
③To help nations work together to improve the
lives of poor people, to conquer hunger,
disease and illiteracy, and to encourage
respect for each other’s rights and freedoms
(global problems)
④To be a center for bringing together the
actions of nations to achieve these goals

 The goals are BROAD and INTERDEPENDENT. However, they all


have their OWN goals to achieve.

meets the needs of the present without compromising the

 We think things are boring that don’t interest us, but


when you learn how INTERCONNECTED everything is,
and how much world politics affect the lives of
teenagers in Móstoles, the work the United Nations
does seems less boring .
