 INTRODUCTION

 Concrete is man made stone . Which is consisted by proportion of

filling materials & binding materials with help of water . The main
advantage of concrete is high compressive strength . During proportion
of these materials we follow ACI mix design method & BS method
usually. That is established with respect to stone as coarse aggregate .
But in this subcontinent, due to some reasons brick is mostly used as
coarse aggregate .Which has no guide. In this study, trial mix has
adopted. So we want to propose mix design method with respect to
brick aggregate.
 OBJECTIVES

 The main objectives of this study is to develop the mix design of

brick aggregate concrete, having all the parameters of
investigations and properties involved like ACI mix design.
 MATERIALS & METHODOLOGY

 Selection of materials
 Identification of materials properties
 Preparation of specimen
 Curing of specimen
 Crushing of specimen

CONCLUSIONS

 From the test results and analysis the following conclusion can be drawn:
 Compressive strength of concrete be maximum for fine aggregate (FM 1.65)
at 0.40 and 0.45 w/c ratio, when coarse aggregate 19mm downgraded and
mix ratio 1:1.5:3 is used.
 Compressive strength of concrete be maximum for fine aggregate (FM 2.41)
at 0.40 and 0.45 w/c ratio, when coarse aggregate 25 mm downgraded and
mix ratio 1:1.5:3 is used.
 Table: 05 is proposed for mix design of brick aggregate.
 Table 06 & Table 07 is proposed for mix design of brick aggregate
