A. God’s Timing is Surprising
When and Where?
God’s timing is surprising, both the
“when” of his timing and the “where” .
verse 4: God calls “‘Moses, Moses!’”
It is surprising that God would act after
seeming to be absent for such a long
time. Back at the beginning of chapter 3,
Moses is keeping the flock of his father-in-
law, Jethro, in this desolate land (far away
from Egypt) called Midian.
God call suddenly
1) When he call to Samuel
“Samuel! Samuel!” (1 Samuel 3).
2) Luke 10, he says, “Martha!
Martha!”
3) In Luke 10, he says, “Martha!
Martha!” To Peter, he says,
“Simon! Simon!”
4) He says, “Saul! Saul! Why do
you persecute me?”
5) Genesis 46- God called to Jacob
Jacob at the midnight.
 B. God’s Compassion is Surprising
it’s not surprising that God would be
compassionate. We expect that. What we
may not realize is that God cares for us
deeply, even when it seems as if he’s not
paying attention!
Verse 6. I am the God of your father
, the God of Abraham…
Even Moses had lost
God is compassionate
God heard, God saw, and God knew.
What does verse 7 say? “I have surely
seen the affliction of my people who
are in Egypt and have heard their cry
because of their taskmasters.

 C. God’s Way is Surprising
How does God do?
His way is different than we think or God method is
imagine.
God’s way is not human way.. incomprehensible.
Moses had never thought that he will
