Medicine is one of the

scientific condition, whose
humanitarian and
humanistic social function
gives it the highest rank of
approach to the existence
of the Human being, with a
deontological commitment.
Medicine is a vocation for
service, society on the other
hand requires highly
motivated and qualified
doctors.
The career trains professionals
with knowledge, skills and abilities
in the biological, physical,
chemical and mathematical
sciences necessary to perform
integral health care functions,
preventive and promotional
health functions, health recovery
functions and rehabilitation
functions.

other than science to alleviate human
suffering that for sure, is not merely
corporal, without it being she who does
it, but an intermediary, an instrument of
his called "doctor".
Duration of the Medicine career

This career is one of the longest in


both public and private universities.
The student must take 7 or 8 years of
study because in addition to taking
classes in general medicine should
choose a specialization, which has
between 3 to 4 years approximately.
This without forgetting that you must apply to
the Marginal Urban Health Service (Serums),
which allows you to work for a year for the
State and thereby accumulate a score.
In this career there are more than 60
specializations, among which we can
highlight Cardiology, Surgery, Dermatology,
Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics,
Gynecology, Nephrology, Ophthalmology,
Traumatology and others.
