What is Ethics?
Ethics is the
-set of standards or
-code or
-value system

Worked out of human reasons & experiences

By which human actions are determined to be


Right or Wrong
Good or Evil

If an action agrees with these standards :- ethical


If an action does not agree with standard :-unethical
Ethical Standards

Ethical (moral) Standards , drawn from both


philosophy and religion used by men
through the ages
Business Ethics
This concept is coming to know what is right or
wrong in the workplace and doing what’s right .

Business Ethics is the branch of ethics that examines


ethical rules and principles within a commercial
context .

2 Broad Areas of Business Ethics are :-

1. Management Mischief
2. Moral System
1. Management Mischief

Management Mischief includes to know the illegal , unethical or


Questionable practices of individual managers or organizations as
well as the causes of such behaviors and remedies to eradicate them .

2. Moral Systems

This includes the number of ethical problem that a manager might


deal with on daily bases such as :-

-Potential Conflicts of interests


-Wrongful use of Resources
-Mismanagement of contracts and agreements etc.
3 R’s
Which points out employer and
employee in the right Ethical
Direction.

 RESPECT
 RESPONSIBILITY
 RESULT
RESPECT
It is an attitude that must be applied to people,
organizational resources and your environment.

Respect includes behavior such as :-


1. Treating everyone(customers,co-workers,vendors
etc) with dignity and courtesy .
2. Using company supplies , equipment , time and
money appropriately , efficiently and for
business use only .
3. Protecting and improving and abiding by laws ,
rules and regulations that exists to protect our
world and our way of life .
Responsibility
You have a responsibility to your customers, your
co-workers , your organization and your-self. Under
this are included behavior such as :-

1. Provide at timely , high-quality goods and


services .
2. Working collaboratively and carrying
your hare of load .
3. Meeting all performance expectations and
adding values.
Results

Essential in attaining results is an understanding


that the way results are attained – the means

Obviously , you are expected to get results for your


organizations and for your customers. However
you are expected to get these results legally and
morally , by being ethical. If you lose sight of this
you place your job in danger and also your
business and career .
