 Investors invest in different types of funds like debt, equity
or balanced schemes etc
 Main Sources of awareness about mutual funds among investors
are advice from agents/brokers/professionals/friends,Print and
broadcasting media also play an important role in creating
awareness.
 Most preferred mode of investment is SIP while some people
follow lump sum mode also. About 63% of investors followed
SIP mode of investment.
 Depending upon their risk taking ability, aggressive investors
prefer to invest in equity scheme while moderate investors
invest in balanced scheme. Some who do not want to take much
risk invest in debt fund.
 Most investors prefer to invest for less than 5 years.


conclusion
 Investors invest in different types
of funds depending on their risk
taking ability and purpose of
investment . working of mutual
fund is carried out by fund
managers of AMCs who invest
money in diversified portfolios.The
investment period varies investor
to investor which may be either
for long term or short term.
Limitations
Sample size is too small to
represent entire mutual fund
investors of varanasi.
Survey was conducted in a limited
area.
The study was conducted with a
severe time constraint .
Few of respondents did not want to
give their personal information.
There is possibility of incorrect
information.
