Definition of Cheating

• is a surreptitious violation of standards of

individualized response to tests or other
exercises.

• is adverse fraud that makes people stupid.

• is violation in academic and it has happened a

lot during the exam.
Because their culture is more disciplined so that their cheating
population tends to decrease compared to Indonesia.

In Indonesia we can see the fact when we find cheating we just give
easier punishment like error value. But in another country they used
to punish the students in a very high way, for example in Kenya
cheating people will be imprisoned for 10 years and in the United
States immediately to must ask to working.
Yes of course.

Most of students cheat because they don’t care about the rules or maybe in their minds, it's
not a big deal. They think cheating is a best solution for a test, so they will get a high score.
There are several factors that cause students to cheat:

• according to the situation. when they

have the chance to cheat they will do
it. especially if the supervisor doesn't
keep attention too much
• They don’t confidence with their ability
• They lazy to study
• Because cheating being their habbit
• Cheating in indonesian culture is normal
and has no impact
• They don’t know the answer

But based in our opinion is cheating can

happened because our culture think that the
education system always push us to be
'perfect' with a perfect grade.
Like what usually happened, when students cheat and get caught,
the teacher will be angry and take action. For example: mark the
students who are cheating in the class and give them an
ultimatum.
o For us, as a teacher, we would reprimand students. For example we find
students who cheat, then we would probably tolerate it at first and warn of
the fraud students had committed and ask them why they did that. But if
they do it again, we would not tolerate it and we confiscate the answer sheet
and then ask them to go out.

o As a teacher. We have to give 'a mindset' for their students that the good
grades or the right answer is not an answer of the test, but that is the test for
the student themselves to believe in their ability.

o And the last we think that punishment accompanied by an explanation by

the teacher concerned does not make students hurt and hate him. But it will
motivate students to change their behavior. Because the teacher has taught
students not to do bad behavior, the teacher should give praise, attention or
appreciation to students for their efforts.
