II. PROJECT RATIONALE

No children and family left behind in-terms of

community development the and in education and
literacy in upland areas.
III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES

This project aims that no household in the

mountainous area in Negros Occidental will be living
in darkness. Most likely to improve the study habits
of the children upland.
IV. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Light Up Rotary- this was the Rotary theme last Rotary Year 2013-
2014 when Rotaract Club of Silay initiated its " Spark Up dreams. Light
Up Homes" project. Primary this cause aims to help children with their
study habits in the evening who uses lamparas and small flashlights
from cigarette lighters.

Around 250 households recipients has already benefited from this

cause. The first two phases was distributed in the upland area of
Sibato and Bagtic, all from Silay City.

And as the group continue to Spark Up Dreams. Light Up Homes.

Another community has benefited this cause, it reached the last
Barangay of Negros Occidental located in Municipality of Hinobaan.
The wave 3 of the distribution of solar lights was conducted last
October 21, 2016 at Barangay Sangke, Municipality of Hinobaan.
V. EXPECTED OUTCOMES

Expected outcome this activity of this project to

improve quality of life by every Filipinos’ living in
remote areas by providing them the light than they
may use in their chores and most importantly to
every school children in their studies.
VI. SUSTAINABILITY

After the implementation of the project a random

check and verification from the recipient community
is conducted in order to validate further the primary
cause of this project.
