Executive Summary

We at Qulsar have best hands-on experience on Sync technologies. Working with

various telecom operator has given us good confidence and understanding of ITU-T
recommendations and the pain of Telecom companies while SYNC deployments. With
all our expertise we can suggest you the best network engineering to suit your
budget and ease your network concern. Our strategy shall be as below:

 Understanding the TELKOMSEL network architecture and then suggesting some

locations in the network to perform “SYNC TESTING” with existing infrastructure.
 Deploying our solution in your network and performing “SYNC TESTING” at
various locations in the network.
 Qulsar shall be providing you a detailed report for all the test results at various
locations in your network. We shall also provide you detailed comparative result
analysis before and after the deployment of our solution with our suggestions and
observations along with the test report.
 Based on the detailed comparative result analysis Qulsar shall provide you the
best solution.

12
Trial Preparation

 Scope of POC (Network Sync Testing)

• Scope Includes:
• Proposal to conduct Sync Testing at 5 Sites.
• Identification of sites in consultation with TELKOMSEL.
• Testing at each sites to be conducted in 3 different stages.

• Qg2 Pre-Configuration Stage:

• Testing at all 5 identified sites - eNodeB is configured with PTP GM
installed at the core network
• Configuration will have maximum (existing) number of Fiber POPs &
MW Hops between PTP Master and Slave.

• Qg2 Post Configuration Stage:

• Testing at all 5 identified sites - eNodeB is configured with Qg2
• Qg2 (PTP Master) will be closer to eNodeB. Configuration will have
less number of Fiber POPs & MW Hops between PTP Master & Slave

13
Trial Preparation

 Performance / Measurements

• At 5 Sites for 2 different stages (1-With existing Core GM & 2-with Qg2
at Access) we measure following parameters.
• Delay Statistics
• Time Error
• cTE (Constant Time Error)
• dTE (Dynamic Time Error)
• Asymmetry * TIE - SyncE
• MTIE & TDEV - PTP & SyncE with ITU-T masks
• PTP Messages Statistics
• ESMC Packet Generation / Analysis
• GM Clock Properties

14
KEY BENFITS

• POC reveals Network behaviour.

• After the POC we can identify the location where we need to deploy the Qg2
or EGM.

• Behaviour of the Qg2 (Accuracy, stability, interoperability, etc.).

• NE behaviour and response with PTP.
