VARIOUS PROCESSES WORK TOGETHER. MEANING, IT TAKES THE
NUMEROUS PROCESSES THAT ARE BEING USED IN A PROJECT AND
MAKES SURE THAT THEY'RE COORDINATED. PROJECT INTEGRATION
MANAGEMENT ACCOMPLISHES THIS BY MAKING TRADE-OFFS.

 TRADE-OFFS ARE THE RESULT OF A PROCESS WHERE THE TEAM
EVALUATES OPTIONS FOR THE PROJECT AND DECIDES WHICH
APPROACH BEST MEETS THE PROJECT'S GOALS.
 THE TIME, COST, PERFORMANCE TRIANGLE(SCOPE), KNOWN AS THE
TRIPLE CONSTRAINT, IS THE "MAGIC COMBINATION" THAT PROVIDES
THE BASIS FOR PROJECT TRADE-OFF DECISIONS AND KEEPS THE
PROJECT MANAGER CONTINUOUSLY PURSUING A BALANCE OF THESE
ELEMENTS TO ACHIEVE PROJECT SUCCESS.

A WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE (WBS) IS A HIERARCHIC
DECOMPOSITION OR BREAKDOWN OF A PROJECT OR MAJOR
ACTIVITY INTO SUCCESSIVE LEVELS, IN WHICH EACH LEVEL IS A
FINER BREAKDOWN OF THE PRECEDING ONE.

PURPOSE OF WBS:
• PRIMARILY TO SEE THE ENTIRE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT AND INCLUDE ALL
ACTIVITIES NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT.
• TO RESOLVED COMPLEX TASK INTO SMALLER MANAGEABLE TASKS
• TO GROUP ACTIVITIES ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT CRITERIA SUCH AS LOCATION,
RESPONSIBILITY, JOB ORDER, ETC.

• ENSURING THAT THE PROJECT INCLUDES ALL THE WORK


REQUIRED, ONLY THE WORK REQUIRED.
• DIVIDING THE WORK INTO MAJOR PIECES, THEN SUBDIVIDING
INTO SMALLER, MORE MANAGEABLE PIECES.
