A. Introduction
Religion is one of the most important aspects of the cultural aspects
studied by anthropologists and other social scientists. It is even very
important, not only that which is found in every society that is
known, but because it is also important for all aspects because of the
influence of each other between cultural institutions to each other.
In that religion material cultural expressions are encountered in
human nature and in values, moral and ethical systems. Religion
influences each other with organizational, marital, economic, legal,
and political systems. Religion also entered the fields of medicine,
science and technology. In this paper the author will explain about
the nature of Islamic religion. The purpose of writing this paper is
to provide knowledge for students in Islamic religion.

1. Consept Of Religion
Definition of Religion
In Arabic, religion is known as al-din and al-milah. The word al-din itself contains various meanings. He can mean
al-mulk (kingdom), al-khidmat (service), al-izz (glory), al-dzull (humiliation), al-ikrah (coercion), al-ihsan (virtue),
al-adat (habit) ), al-ibadat (devotion), al-qahr wa al-sulthan (power and government), al-tadzallulwa al-khudu
(submissive and obedient), al-tha 'at (obedient), al-Islam al-tauhid ( surrender and inaugurate God) .
In dïnul-islãm (Islam) the four elements are revealed through Gabriel's Hadith, which includes the items below.
1) The teaching of God as a concept of life
2) ãmãn as an interaction
3) Rite as a system of symbols
4) The practice as an embodiment of the concept
5) Ihsãn as a control system
6) Sãah as opportunity under

3. Concept of Islamic
Definition of Islamic
Islam in Arabic terms is called Dinul Islam. The word Islamic Dinul is composed
of two words namely Din ( ‫(الدين‬and Islam (‫مسا‬. (The meaning of the word din
both etymologically and terminologically has been explained before.
Characteristics of Islam
1. Islam in accordance with human nature.
2. The teachings of perfect Islam.
3. The truth of Islamic teachings is absolute
4. Teach balance in various aspects of life.
5. The teachings of Islam are flexible and light.
6. The teachings of Islam apply universally, which applies to all human beings
in this world and is valid until the end of time.
7. Islamic teachings are in accordance with the human mind and motivate
people to use their mind.
8. The core of Islamic teachings is tauhid and all its teachings in order to
support the unity
9. Islamic teachings are rahmatan lilalamin, which is to give affection to all
humanity in this world

Definition of Rahmatan
The word rahmatan is the Arabic word, rohima which is based on rahmatan
which means love. Definition of lilalamin. The word Al-alamin is an Arabic
word that is natural which is referred to as alamin which means the universe
which includes the earth and its contents.
C. Conclusion
Each religion basically consists of four elements, namely:
1. Doctrine (= theory; concept) as the occult side
2. Faith as an interaction between the actor and the concept,
3. Rite (= ceremony) as a symbol system, and
4. Practice (= charity) as an embodiment of concepts in all aspects of
individual and community life.
