Mecanismo de los
Fármacos
Los antiarrítmicos bloquean arritmias debidas a
posdespolarizaciones tardías o tempranas por medio de
dos mecanismos principales:

1) inhibición de la aparición de posdespolarizaciones

2) interferencia en la corriente hacia adentro (por lo


general mediante canales de Na o de Ca2), de la cual
depende la activación.

Por ejemplo, las arritmias debidas a posdespolarizaciones
tardías inducidas por digitálicos pueden quedar inhibidas
mediante verapamilo (que bloquea la aparición de dichas
posdespolarizaciones),
o por medio de quinidina (que bloquea los canales de Na, lo
cual incrementa el umbral requerido para producir la activación
anormal).
Los latidos desencadenados que surgen a partir de
posdespolarizaciones tempranas pueden inhibirse con Mg2
