A few words about history of cinema:
CINEMATOGRAPHY – is the
making of lighting and camera
choices when recording photo-
graphic images for the cinema.
FILM – encompasses individual motion
pictures, the field of film as an art form
and the motion picture industry.
A FEW WORDS ABOUT HISTORY OF FILM
The origin of the name „film”
comes from the fact that photo-
graphic film (also called film stock)
has historically been the primary
medium for recording and
displaying motion pictures.
Any other terms exist for an individual
motion pictures, including picture, picture
show, photoplay, moving picture and flick.
A common name of film in the
United States is movie, while in
Europe t the term cinema is
preferred. Additional terms for
the field in general inlude:
-the big screen,
-the silver screen,
-the cinema
-the movies.
 FIRST FILMS
- The world’s first motion
picture film,Roundhay Garden Scene.
It was directed by Louis Le Prince on October 14,
1888 in the garden at Oakwood Grange in
Roundhay,England. This event happened seven
years before the Lumiere Brothers Workers Leaving
Th Lumiere Factory made the first paid exhibition on
December 28,1895 at Le Grand Café,in Paris.This date
is known as the birth of cinema since it was the first time
the cycle of production – distribution – exhibitio happened.
