INTRODUCTION

In the engine laboratory of the faculty of mechanical engineering of the UNAC

we do not have any tool or support that allows us to easily and safely handle
the various car engines. Each time students want to study and review the
various parts of the engine, assemble and disassemble them as well as repair
them, they must load and move the various motors with their own hands,
entailing a great risk to their safety.

Therefore, it is necessary to implement some type of equipment to correct

these deficiencies.

the work that we present below is a good option. Designing a support of this
type will improve the conditions of study and work of the students of the motor
institute, in addition to reducing the probability that some type of accident
occurs when loading the motors.

Characteristics
This support consists of 3 pieces of highly defined iron of great resistance, which
are detailed below:

a) Support base
b) The pedestal of the support that is rotating
c) Tool tray

Model of the Structure:

 Reinforced neck to prevent bending
 Long steel handle for easy positioning
 Rotating head (360º)
 Load capacity: 453 Kg.
 Total height: 88.48 cm
 Length: 120.00 cm
 Rear width: 110.00 cm
 Front width: 80.00 cm
Cost of Materials

Machine tools and equipment used

. Welding machine
. Drill
. Granete
. Grinding machine
Elaboration process
 Order the materials, according to the support model selected.

 Once the requested materials were received, the respective traces were made to proceed to cut the
material

 Draw the corresponding measurements and the diameter of the holes on the plate that will go in the
upper part and the measurements of the lower plate.

 With a granete insert guide points in the upper plate for the holes

 With a drill and a drill, proceed to make the corresponding spaces for the entrance of the
bolts and the middle hole for the placement of safe this on the upper plate.

 Cut the bottom plate according to the design measure and with a grinder to finish the part
that will go as a hook to hold the spring

 With a file, finish the holes in the top plate, the corners and the edges.

 With a saw cut the heads of the bolts.

 Solder the bolts to the lower plate

 Finish the lower part that was welded, this will be done with a grinder and then with a flat
file.
Advantages of the project

 The implementation of this support in the laboratory of the motor institute and,
by extension, in any auto mechanic workshop is useful because it will improve
the productivity that students have when doing their practices.

 Designing and developing this project is also useful because it will improve the
quality of both corrective and preventive engine maintenance.

 If we implement this design in a car mechanic workshop, it will save time,

reduce operating costs and increase the profits of the company

Disadvantages

 Caution is recommended when mounting the motor on the bench due to the weight
it has.

 Since it is still an insurance project that has many shortcomings to correct.
