Introduction
• A Tourniquet can be defined as a compressing device used to control venous and
blood circulation to the upper or lower extremity for a period of time.
• Pressure is applied circumstantially upon the skin and underlying tissues of a
limb.
• This pressure is transferred to the walls of vessels, causing them to become
temporarily occluded.
• In Surgical settings, the purpose of a Tourniquet is to enough pressure on the
arterial blood flow in a limb following extermination to produce a relatively
bloodless operative field.

Pressure Sensor
• A pressure sensor is a device which senses pressure and converts it
into an analog electric signal whose magnitude depends upon the
pressure applied.
• Since they convert pressure into an electrical signal, they are also
termed as pressure transducers.

Pressure Sensor
Pressure Sensor Specification
• Measuring medium: air
• Measuring range: 0-40kPa
• Operating temperature range: -40 ℃ ~ + 125 ℃
• Storage Temperature: -40 ℃ ~ + 150 ℃
• Humidity: (50% ± 10%) RH
• Ambient temperature: (25 ± 1) ℃
• Medium temperature: (25 ± 1) ℃
• Output impedance: 4kΩ ~ 6kΩ
• Zero output: -15mV~+15mV
• Hysteresis: +-0.7%F.S.
• Power supply: ≤10V DC or ≤2.0mA DC
• Insulation resistance: 100MΩ, 100VDC
Solenoid
• The solenoids are simple electrical components and it has a vast
impact on daily life. The term itself is derived from the Greek name
“solen”, which illustrates a channel or a pipe.
• The second part of the name is taken from the Greek name “eidos”,
which refers to an outline.
• Basically, it is a component in the form of a pipe.

Solenoid
Solenoid Specification
• Voltage : 24 Volt DC
• Current : 20 WA
• Operation : Normally Closed
• Temperature : 0~50 C
Air Pump
Airpump Specification
• Voltage: 12 Volt DC
• Current: 300 mA
• Airflow: 2L / min
• Pressure: 350mm Hg
• Connection: ~ 3/16" air port
• Overall Dimensions: 2-3/4" (L) x 1-1/16" (Diameter) (without bracket) x 1-3/32"
(H) (Note:1-7/16" (W) with bracket)
Heart Beat Sensor
• A person’s heartbeat is the sound of the valves in his/her’s heart
contracting or expanding as they force blood from one region to
another.
• The number of times the heart beats per minute (BPM), is the heart
beat rate and the beat of the heart that can be felt in any artery that
lies close to the skin is the pulse.
