ANALYSIS OF DRUG ABUSED IN

MALAYSIA
• A total of 131,841 drug addicts were detected in
the country since January 2010 to February last
(April 19, 2016), said Deputy Prime Minister
Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
• According to National Anti-Aging Agency (AADK),
men's addicts are 127,797, while 4,044 are
women's addicts.
• From 1983 until now, drugs are still the number
one enemy of the country, "he said at the Dewan
Negara sitting.

Conclusion
• Although there are five acts enacted in the effort
to abolish the drug by imposing severe penalties
including mandatory death, drug trafficking and
drug cases still exist in this country as there is a
demand from drug addicts and supplies provided
by the distributors (Deputy Prime Minister Datuk
Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi , 2016)
• To stop drug trafficking, awareness about the
danger of drug need to be prioritized and various
drug hazard programs need to be implemented
to reduce drug abuse problems.
