WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?
• Friendship is the emotional affection towards
one or several people, it is a stronger form of
interpersonal bond than an association. Often,
they arise from a shared interest or hobby, and
people, are associated with fundamental values.
Friendship can arise between men and women,
boyfriends, spouses, relatives with any kind of
bond, people of different ages, religions,
ideologies, cultures, social extraction, etc.
HOW PEOPLE CHOOSE THEIR
FRIENDS?

• Friendship relationships can be born in the most diverse contexts

and situations: the place where we live, the place where we work,
the school, the university, parties, meetings, the coffee we
frequent, through other friends, social networks, etc. Friendship
not only arises with those who have more affinities in terms of
tastes and interests, or with whom we have more similarity, but
can appear between very different people. Often, they arise from
a shared interest or hobby, and people are usually united
because they are in the same stage of life, like new parents or
retirees.
THE THREE KINDS OF FRIENDSHIPS

• True friendship brings out the best in us and

strengthens our affinities and virtues, adds joy to
life. It is the lightest but usually the most sincere
form of being possessed by Eros. According to
Aristotle there are three types of friendships. The
first two types of friendship are accidental and a
third that is more intentional.
• The first is friendship of utility. In this type of
friendship, the two people not because of affection
but because they receive some benefit. This
friendship is not permanent, it usually gets rid
when the benefits are exhausted. They are usually
more common among adults.
• The second type of accidental friendship is friendship based
on pleasure and this is more common among young people.
It usually happens between friends who participate in sports
activities, or who go to parties. People with whom you do
things like playing soccer, riding a bicycle or going around
the cows. You can have this kind of relationship with one of
the other locals in the cafeteria, gym, the type of person with
whom you enjoy a small talk or a good joke.
• The third type of friendship is the friendship of the good. In
this friendship is shared an appreciation of the good and
virtuous of life and you do not have a reason to take
advantage. These relationships usually last all life, as long
as the person has a certain level of kindness.
• In my opinion, friendship is something more valuable than gold, that person with whom we share everything,
whom we help and help us, who deserves to be called a friend. Over time, we realize who is a friend and who is
not, and that each person who comes to our life becomes an experience of good or bad, but both help us grow as
people and as human beings, there is also a curious fact that says that if you have 7 or more years of friendship
with a person that person will be your friend for life.

• The people of Canada are usually friendly and decent to deal with people, but you have to keep in mind that the
vast majority are very reserved or live in their bubble and even if you pass by they will ignore you. Obvious, as in
everything there are exceptions There are differences between Ecuador and Canada, the main one is that all
people are very careful when they talk to you, compared to Ecuador, when we started a friendship, the slang is the
first to come out of the mouth, another part is that the Ecuadorian he gives something he wants something in
return with always the word aver that I receive in return, while the Canadian helps or gives without commitment,
certainly for everything there are exceptions.
