Persediaan adalah bahan atau barang yang disimpan yang akan
digunakan untuk memenuhi tujuan tertentu, misalnya untuk
digunakan dalam proses produksi atau perakitan, untuk dijual
kembali, atau untuk suku cadang dari peralatan atau mesin.
Persediaan dapat berupa bahan mentah, bahan pembantu,
barang dalam proses, barang jadi ataupun suku cadang.
Fungsi Persediaan

Menghilangkan resiko keterlambatan

pengiriman bahan baku atau barang yang
dibutuhkan perusahaan.
Menghilangkan resiko jika material
yang dipesan tidak baik sehingga harus
dikembalikan.

Metode EOQ atau metode Metode EOQ bisa dikatakan

kuantitas pesanan ekonomi metode pemesanan yang paling
adalah metode pembelian optimal dan ekonomis karena
persediaan berdasarkan jumlah yang dipesan bisa
jumlah pesanan yang memenuhi kebutuhan dengan
diterima. mengeluarkan biaya yang paling

Metode EOQ berlaku hanya jika:
1. Biaya pemesanan jumlahnya selalu sama
2. Item barang yang dipesan tidak tergantung

ditentukan dan pasti

9. Jumlah kebutuhan stabil

Metode material requirement
planning (MRP) atau metode
perencanaan kebutuhan material
adalah perencanaan dan
pengendalian persediaan untuk
menjamin material atau bahan
baku selalu tersedia untuk
memenuhi kebutuhan.
Metode MRP (Material
Requirement
Planning)
Metode MRP juga bertujuan untuk
menjaga persediaan dalam jumlah
yang sedikit. Karena semakin
sedikit jumlah persediaan maka
biaya persediaan yang muncul
juga akan sedikit.
Keunggulan dari metode MRP :
1. Memberi informasi mengenai kapasitas pabrik
2. Meminimalisir kesalahan dalam
memperkirakan kebutuhan dan sekaligus
menjadi acuan perencanaan jumlah produksi
3. Memperbaiki dan mengupdate jumlah
pemesanan dan persediaan barang.
4. Mengadakan persediaan dengan jumlah dan
harga yang tepat.
5. Dapat memenuhi permintaan material yang
datang secara bergelombang
Metode JIT (Just In Time)

Metode just in time (JIT) atau metode tepat waktu adalah

metode yang mengusahakan perusahaan tidak menyetok
atau memiliki persediaan. Artinya persediaan nol (0) atau
setidaknya mendekati nol.

Jika perusahaan tidak memiliki persediaan bahan baku, bagaimana

perusahaan bisa melakukan produksi ?
 kelebihan dari metode Just in Time
“  Metode ini berusaha mendatangkan
persediaan bahan baku hanya pada saat
yang dibutuhkan.
 Pada saat yang tepat.
 Dan dalam jumlah yang tepat sehingga tidak
ada sisa.
 Klasifikasi ABC
dalam Persediaan
Metode analisa ABC adalah metode penggolongan
persediaan yang dibedakan berdasarkan nilai persediaan.
Nilai persediaan yang dimaksud adalah nilai total dari
persediaan, bukan nilai atau harga persediaan per unit.

Persediaan akan digolong ke dalam kelas kelas. Seperti kelas A, B,

dan C.
 Kelas A
Persediaan yang memiliki volume
tahunan rupiah yang tinggi. Kelas
ini mewakili sekitar 70% dari total
persediaan, meskipun jumlahnya
hanya sedikit, biasa hanya 20%
dari seluruh item.
Kelas B
Persediaan dengan nilai volume
tahunan rupiah yang menengah.
Kelompok ini mewakili sekitar 20%
dari total nilai persediaan tahunan,
dan sekitar 30% dari jumlah item.
Kelas C

Barang yang nilai volume tahunan rupiahnya

rendah, yang mewakili sekitar 10% dari total
nilai persediaan, tetapi terdiri dari sekitar 50%
dari jumlah item persediaan. Di sini
diperlukan teknik pengendalian yang
sederhana, pengendalian hanya dilakukan
sesekali saja.
