Analytical Hierarchy Process

• Introduced by Prof. Thomas L Saaty (1980)

• Tool for dealing with complex decision making and aid the decision maker to set
priorities and make the best decision
• AHP incorporates technique for checking the consistency of the decision maker’s
evaluations
• Example – Deciding upon which car to purchase, best place for vacations etc.
