 VAYU VITRAN
• For many of us, the idea of a swarm of drones buzzing
overhead, delivering everything from food to phone cases
still seems like pie in the sky.
• VIYU VITRAN is a drone based delivery system.
• The name VAYU VITRAN is derived from the Hindi term
“VAYU” means air and “VITRAN” means delivery.
• It is used for the delivery of food and goods packages under
the weight category of 5kg.
• A delivery drone is an autonomous vehicle, often
a UAV(unmaned air vehicle), used to transport packages,
food or other goods.

• RECEIVED BY THE CUSTOMER AND AFTER CLEARING
PAYMENT BY MODES LIKE CASH ON DELIVERY OR
NET BANKING OR CARD SWIPE THEN PROVIDIING
OTP AND BOX CAN BE OPENED.
 NATIONAL DRONE POLICY
• Use of drones is allowed only during daytime and,
according to the guidelines, within the visual line of sight.
Barring nano drones—those that weigh under 250 grams
and can’t fly at higher than 50 feet—all others must be
registered with the directorate general of civil aviation
(DGCA). Drones weighing over 2kgs also require an air
defence clearance.

 FIRST DRONE DILEVERY PROGRAM
• The first drone delivery program was enabled by a
nationwide integrated airspace system was established last
year to deliver medical supplies in Switzerland. It’s enabled
by a nationwide integrated airspace system, or UTM
(Unmanned Traffic Management system), called the Swiss U-
space. The United States has yet to develop a UTM that
would regulate delivery drones.
• In India Zomato is planning for the Air Drone system for the
food delivery in collaboration with the TechEagle an Indian
startup related to drone manufacturing in Lucknow.
• It was started by one of the Mumbai Pizzeria Hotel but
suffered from security threats and hence failed.
• These failures are overcame by using a security box and
camera with highly image processing capability.
 MANAGEMENT
• This is one time investment and just maintenance service
is required yearly.
• No need of any management other than the yearly
maintenance.
• Only manual support is required for supervision and
owner’s satisfaction.
 BENEFITS OF VAYU VITRAN
• Replace humanoid delivery system.
• The delivery boys are paid monthly it just needs one time
investment and almost 10 year of expenditure saver.
• It can be used to deliver food, medicines and other
necessary stuff in case of natural disasters to
unreachable areas.
• Saves fuel cost as delivery boys need some vehicle
medium like bikes to deliver the product and fuel is
required by the vehicles but for drones they just need to
be charged no other fuel cost.
• It will be fastest system of delivery.
• It will reduce pollution.
 LAST MILE PROBLEM
• Delivery drones are required to make precision landings
based on GPS, IR, or RTK-GPS, which can be unreliable
in certain locations. There are other obstacles to drone
deliveries too. Restrictions on flying over people or
beyond the visual line of sight hinder companies from
delivering across far distances or to locations that require
passing over people. Then, if a drone does successfully
make a delivery, there’s concern that items delivered by
drone will be targeted for theft. Together, these issues are
known as the “last mile problem.”
• This is tackled with security boxes, google maps and
cameras with high image processing power etc.
 MARKET
• It doesn’t have ant strong market or the competitors in the
world.
• Till now this system is just deployed in Switzerland last
year only.
• Zomato is working on this with TechEagle.
• Its benefits will attract the buyers of VAYU VITRAN no
hard marketing is required.
• But still to make people aware of the product Social media
marketing, Tele marketing, printed marketing can be
deployed.
