 WHAT IS IMPS AND HOW TO MAKE USE OF IMPS

• IMPS - Interbank Mobile Payment Service is an instant Intra and Inter-Bank

electronic fund transfer service through Mobile/Internet Banking/ATM.
• IMPS services facilitate customers to send and receive money using Mobile Number
and MMID (Mobile Money Identifier) in a secured manner with immediate
confirmation features.
• Customers desirous of availing mobile Payment Service should be a registered
customer for SMS/Mobile Banking.
• What is Mobile Money Identifier (MMID):
• Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) is a seven digit number issued by the bank upon
registration. In the 7-digit MMID issued by the bank –
• The first 4 digits are NBIN (National Bank Identification Number) allotted by
NPCI and 9017 is the NBIN code allotted for our Bank.
• The remaining three digits are the running serial number.

 IMPS-Syntax for Doing IMPS through SMS
 Syntax for carrying out IMPS transaction through SMS is as below:

Example: If
Debit a/c no is SB/01/001234
Beneficiary Mobile No.: 9902781818
Beneficiary MMID: 9229864
Amount: Rs.200/-
PIN: 4444

Then - Syntax will be as below

IMPS 001234 9902781818 9229864 200 4444
Customer should use only the last six digits of the account number and if it is less than six
digits, then it should be padded with prefixing zeros.
 Through SMS Mode Rs.5000/- can be sent per day.
Through Corp Mobile Application :-Rs . 50,000.00 /- per day
