Learning objective: Identifying the different

geographical features that make up North America.

Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea during the
time when Herod was king. After Jesus was born, some wise
men from the east came to Jerusalem.

 NORTH AMERICA
United States is located on the continent of North
America. There are many countries in North
America. Canada and México, are big countries.
Central America has many smaller countries that
are also part of North America.

A landform is a kind of land with a special shape.

There are many types of landforms in North
America: plains, hills, mountains, peninsula and
islands.

 NORTH AMERICA LANDFORMS

• Plains: A plain is a flat. Example: The Great Plains in the

United States.
• Hills: a land that rises above the land around it.
• Mountains: is a very big hill.
• Peninsula: A land that has water around it.
• Island: is a landform with water all around it.
• Gulf: A large body of water partly surrounded by land.

Thera are many kinds of bodies of wáter. The bigest
are oceans. North America lies between two oceans,
Pacific and Atlantic ocean.
