Main Idea/Usage:
By mastering this strategy, students will be
able to remember the variety of
conjunctions to be used in writing sentences.
Steps:
1. Teacher asks few questions about the
student’s prior knowledge on conjunctions.
2. Play a video “Let’s Bring it All
Together”
3. Watch the FANBOYS song and pay
attention to the video.
4. Introduce the formula. (FANBOYS)

5. Give some pictures in powerpoint slides.

Social strategy

Purpose:
At the end of the lesson, students will
be able to learn parts of speech
through group collaboration.
Steps:
1. Write a sentence on the white board.
“Sim runs away quickly from the fierce dog.”
2. Highlight the part of speech that is going to be
tested.
3. Guide the students on how to play the “Word
Class Mania”.
4. Distribute a template to each group.
-Students are given 2 minutes to complete the
template based on the chosen letter by the
teacher/students.

Guess It Right

Compensation Strategy and Social strategy

Purpose:

At the end of the lesson, students will be


able to use gestures/body language to help
communicate meaning of words (action
verbs) that they may not know in English
language.
Steps:
1. Play a song “Action Song”.
2. Demonstrate the game “Charades” and
asks students to guess the action verb
based on her gestures.
3. Representative from each group takes
turns to act out a picture shown to them
for their group members to guess.
