Design and fabrication of gears

and shaft to demonstrate power
transmission.
 GOAL
• To understand the power transmission by
using different gears through shaft.

• How different torque and RPMs can obtain

with the help of different sizes of gear.
Gears
A toothed wheel that engages with another toothed wheel
or with a rack in order to change the speed or direction of
transmitted motion from one shaft to another.

As explained above that through this project we will
demonstrate the working of gears through a channel such
as motor.
The demonstration of power transmission would be showed
by using shaft and motor on a single platform. From this
we could understand that how different gears coupled and
work together.
We will also explain that how could we get the different
RPMs from different sizes of gear by arranging them in
different mechanisms or in different ways.
