History of Bank Alfalah.
Bank Alfalah Limited was launched on June 21,
1997 as a public limited company under the
Companies Ordinance 1984. The bank commenced
its operations on November 1, 1997. The bank introduced commercial
banking and related services as defined in the Banking company’s ordinance,
1962. Bank Alfalah is the 6th largest bank of Pakistan with 648 branches in
Pakistan and abroad.

function is often handled alongside Accounts Receivable and Collections in
one department of a company.

This manager can perform managerial role according to Henri Mintzberg is
• Leadership:
Leadership is because he can supervise his sub-ordinates (Non-Manager)
• Disturbance Handler:
Disturbance Handler in that sense that if the task is not completed or
accomplished then he can handle the situation or guide the sub-ordinates.
• Recourse allocator:
He find more and more companies or firms to gave loan from his bank.
Function of Manager
• Functions of Manger (Manager’s Job activities):
This manager is responsible to perform the following functions
• Planning:
He makes the plan for their sub-ordinates to perform their tasks efficiently and
effectively.
• Organizing:
Credit manager can organize the structure of credit department because he gives the
task to his sub-ordinates. He tells his subordinates “what tasks are to be done?” and “Is
it a group tasks or individual?”
• Leader:
Leadership in that sense because it can supervise the non-manager.
• Controlling:
After the planning, organizing and leading he further look after and control their sub-
ordinates that they are performing there work in a right way or not.

As a credit manager he is polite with their colleagues. He is corporate with their
costumers and guide them.
• Technical Skill:
He knows about his technical skills that how to persuade and convince his
costumers for the financing in the bank.

 He can guide the costumers.
 He will be answerable in front of his costumers.
 He gives the daily report to his Regional Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
• What are his responsibilities?
The credit manager position is accountable for the entire credit granting process,
including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of
existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential
customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt
losses.

He is reporting to his Regional Sales Manager (Muhammad Mansoor Yousaf).

And his sub-ordinates are Associate Relation Manager.


Experience

When we enter into the bank. We straightly went to the manager’s office. He
was very busy in dealing a costumer. After that he give us time for interview. He
answered every question very politely and humbly. We observed that he was
very humble with his Sub-ordinate.
As a student we experience that how can we make finance for bank by giving
loans to companies. We also observed that how to fulfill the tasks that has by the
RSM.
