Air pollution is the presence of chemicals or compounds in the air that are not naturally occurring and lower the quality of the air, making it harmful. It is caused by various pollutants such as particulate matter, ozone, carbon monoxide, sulphur oxides, and nitrogen oxides. Air pollution negatively impacts human health by causing respiratory and cardiovascular diseases as well as lung damage. It also harms plant life and contributes to acid rain and global warming by increasing greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. To reduce air pollution, awareness must be raised and individuals encouraged to decrease their pollution output.

Ooi Jing Han ,Hasnah Aim of The Project Tomake students aware of the importance of maintaining the quality of the air To encourage students to reduce pollution Meaning of air pollution Air pollution means the presence of chemicals or compounds in the air which are not naturally occurring which lower the quality of air, and are harmful to all living things in the atmosphere. Statistics of Air Pollution The Common Air Pollutants • Particle Pollution (particulate matter) • Ground-level ozone. • Carbon monoxide. • Sulphur oxides. • Nitrogen oxides. • Lead Sources of air pollutions Effects of Air Pollution on Human Health
Our continual exposure to air pollutants is
responsible for the deterioration of human health. Air pollution is indeed a significant risk factor for human health conditions, causing allergies, respiratory and cardiovascular diseases as well as lung damage. Effects on the Environment Air pollution has a major impact on the process of plant evolution by preventing photosynthesis in many cases, with serious consequences for the purification of the air we breathe. It also contributes to the formation of acid rain, atmospheric precipitations in the form of rain, frost, snow or fog. Global Warming On top of that, air pollution is a major contributor to global warming and climate change. In fact, the abundance of carbon dioxide in the air is one of the causes of the greenhouse effect. Normally, the presence of greenhouse gases should be beneficial for the planet because they absorb the infra-red radiation produced by the surface of the earth. But the excessive concentration of these gases in the atmosphere is the cause of the recent climate change. Ways to prevent air pollution What you have done to contribute to make this project successful ?
We have shared a poster of air pollution on facebook. Conclusion
As we know air is the most important need of
living things . When it becomes polluted, the life of humans, plants and animals will be in danger. So, save our environment from air pollutions that can damage living things life. References
