paragraph that contains the analysis of
the author's cause and effect. This
paragraph begins with the causes
described at the beginning of the sentence
and then drawn into one general
conclusion which is a result of the causes
described above.
STRUCTURE OF CAUSE AND
EFFECT
The cause and effect paragraph has the following
generic structure:

1. Have a main idea on the topic of the sentence

which will be discussed in the whole paragraph.
2. Has supporting details or supporting
sentences in the form of causes.
3. Ended with concluding sentences or
conclusions in the form of consequences.

Drought which is happened this year is very long.
Even, in the last two month almost there was no rain.
Moreover, with the very hot weather makes surface of
the soil is cracked and dry and causes the dust is flying
away. In addition, the water that is stored in the
irrigation couldn’t be found anymore, so that there is
no water which is flowing the farmers’ rice. As a result,
they suffered a failure in harvesting because the rice
they planted is failed to grow caused by this drought.

Drought during 2011 has caused many problems.
First, the people lack of clean water to either take
a bath, wash clothes of drink. Consequently, the
government has to spend more expenditure in
social welfare. Second, many breeders do not find
grass for their cattle, sheep and goats. As result,
their animals get thinner day after day due to lack
of enough food. Third, many farmers who depend
on rainfall can’t cultivates their land.
Consequently, they do not get regular income from
agribusiness. This also causes the farmer labors of
losing their jobs. Therefore, poverty rate gets
increased this year. Finally, the drought has a
great impact on the water reservoir: dams, lake,
Canal. Their water levels go down of even totally
dry. All of those conditions are clearly due to mono
cause that is long drought in our country.
