ADVANTAGES of USING
DIGITAL COMIC STRIPS

 It is evident that comic is familiar to and popular with middle and

high school students.
 The comic is a form of literature that students enjoy.
 Students engage in greater literacy exploration than they
otherwise would, due to comics’ popular and easily accessible
format.
 Through comics, students investigate the use of dialogue,
succinct and dramatic vocabulary, and nonverbal
communications.
 Such methodology helps to enliven a classroom that can
prevent historical content from being boring and meaningless,
as it often is in typical classrooms.
C. Theoretical Framework
• Teaching writing by using digital comic strips will make
students enjoy and be motivated to learn writing.
• The Application of digital comic strips in learning
writing will enrich the learners’ idea, creativity, and
inspiration.
• Digital comic strips are not only suitable for the
beginners who have lack of skill in using a foreign
language, but also for the slow learners who need
special treatment in understanding how to write and
give more idea.

towards the students’ achievement in writing narrative
