 Guidelines for Assignment

Total Groups : 11 of 5/6 participants

Date of Submission: Date of LAM examination

•Project Report : 25-30 Pages (word document, Arial font 12, line
spacing 1.5) submit report in soft copy only.

Marks: 40% for project Report.

If required, Students may be called for an interaction after submission.

Each group must have a coordinator who will be responsible for coordination
among group members and time management. He will help other members in
finalizing which part of the project will be done by whom and ensure that there
is no copyrights violation.
 The Projects should
• Aim to frame issues and be clear about the definitions and terminology
pertaining to the topic.

• Present policy, legal, regulatory and judicial approaches to deal with the topic
in a compelling fashion.

• Consider compliance, implementation and enforcement realities of laws

pertaining to the topic.

• Examine the need for further amendment in the existing laws or an enactment
of a new law to deal with problems pertaining to the topic.

• Consider role of management in dealing with problems related to the topic.

• Need not to come up with a solution but must explore possible options to
resolve issues by churning and making an educated guess

• Make Suggestions with a view to make the existing legal, regulatory and
management systems and procedures to deal the problem in a more effective
and proactive manner. It may also be based on success stories of foreign
countries on related topic.
Try to explain the following issues in your report:

• How laws impact upon national and international business?

•What are the impacts of technology entering into the domain of

business law?

•How technology helps in achieving the legal compliance and

enforcement?

•How effective leadership and motivation can inspire businesses for

better voluntarily compliance/self regulation ?

•How legal awareness in public can be instrumental in ensuring legal

compliance on the part of the businesses ?

•How legal and ethical compliance can be used for profit maximization
and competitive business advantage?

III. Adequacy of legal and regulatory measures adopted to control and prevent the problem

IV. Effectiveness of Enforcement mechanism to deal with the problem/ implementation realties

V. Judicial Approaches to deal with problem with the help of High Courts and Supreme Court
Judgments

VI. Role of Business/Industry Associations and Role of NGOs/Civil Society Groups.

VII. International and Comparative Perspective : mention about success stories/ approaches of
US, UK and other developed countries.

VIII. Role of Public awareness and Participatory approaches.

IX. Conclusion & Suggestions.

•Note :
•Guidelines and Chapters are general in nature and may not confine
only to these headings/ aspects rather you may explore and create new
headings to cover other possible aspects. You are expected to
supplement your outcomes with relevant Indian and foreign cases/
materials on the topic.

•You are expected to analyze the Indian law on the topic &
compare it with foreign law with a view to understand adequacy
and efficacy of Indian laws and give suggestions for its
improvements for better result.

•Please do not share the report with any one else and keep the
softcopy of report with you ,Professor may require it for ready
reference any time before your grades are announced.

foot notes or as end notes with proper linkage to contents of
the report.

• You must put your group’s findings/observation/critical

analysis at the end.

• Use of relevant Books , Reports , Journals and Case law on

the subject is highly recommended.

• Relevant annexure may be put at the end of the report and will
not be counted for page limit of report.

• Please attach plagiarism check report along with the report.
