INTRODUCTION
• Concrete is most widely used construction
material all over the world.
• Large scale production of cement is causing
environmental problems on one hand and
depletion of natural resources on other hand.
• It can be overcome by the use industrial by
products as supplementary cementitious
material in making concrete
Contd….

• Supplimentary materials are generally by products

from other processes or natural materials
• Specially processed product based on slag of high
glass content with high reactivity due to controlled
granulation
• Particle size 0.1 to 17 micron
• Among the wide range of Alccofine products we are
using ALCCOFINE 1203.
• ALCCOFINE1203 provides reduced water demand for
a given workability
Contd …….
Benefits of alccofine
• Improved durability.
• Improved strenght gain.
• Improved workability.
• Better retention of workability.
• Reduced segragation.
• Improved fow ability.
• Retention of alkalinity
MATERIALS USED
• Proposed Design mix - M35
• Cement type - OPC 53 grade (Dalmia cement)
• Mineral admixture - Alccofine
• Coarse aggregate - 20mm,12.5mm,6.3mm in size
• Fine aggregate - Confirming to Zone I
• Cement : Ordinary Portland Cement of Dalmia brand of 53
grade confirming to IS: 12269-1987.
• Fine Aggregate: M sand
• Coarse Aggregate: Crushed aggregate confirming to IS: 383-
1987 was used. Aggregates of size 20mm,12.5mm,6.3mm.
• Alccofine 1203: Alccofine used was confirming to ASTM-
(1240-2000) and was supplied by “Ambuja Cements”
