Abstract
Implementing the optimisation principles in the context of
machining has a large research scope in which most of the research
interests are concentrated on the optimisation of highly influential
machining parameters over the cutting responses
INTRODUCTION:
Milling is the machining process of using rotary cutters to
remove material from a workpieceby advancing the cutter into
the workpiece at a certain direction
 in metal cutting operations, determination of optimal tool
geometry and cutting parameters require detailed investigation
of their effects on the cutting forces.
The cutting forces are mainly influenced by depth of cut and
feed rate and also by the cutting speed.
The forces are measured by using the Dynamometer.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

In machining operations , the estimation of cutting forces is playing an

important role for many milled work-piece.

 What are the relationships between the controllable factors such as

spindle speed, feed rate, depth of cut and tool geometry over the
responses like cutting forces, surface roughness and material
removal rate in support of the optimization.
METHODS AND TECHNIQUES:

FUZZY INFERENCE SYSTEM.

TAGUCHI METHOD.
ANALYSIS OF VARIANCE (ANOVA).
