 GERAK HARMONIK SEDERHANA
Ketika sebuah getaran atau osilasi terulang sendiri kedepan dan
kebelakang, pada lintasan yang sama, gerakan tersebut disebut
gerak periodik

Tidak bekerja gaya

Gaya pegas yang berlawanan arah dengan simpangan memperlambat gerak benda
hingga akhirnya berhenti sesaat di titik terjauh kiri dimana x = -A dan otomatis gaya
pegas F = -kx = kA yang positif akan menggerakkan benda ke kanan untuk kembali
melalui titik kesetimbangan.

Gerak harmonik sederhana adalah gerak bolak-balik benda melalui suatu titik kesetimbangan
tertentu dengan banyaknya getaran benda dalam setiap sekon selalu konstan.

Apa yang menyebabkan benda m pada ujung pegas
mendatar melakukan gerak harmonik sederhana?

Dikarenakan gaya pemulih

Gaya pemulih adalah gaya yang besarnya sebanding
dengan simpangan dan selalu berlawanan arah dengan
arah simpangan(posisi). Gaya tersebut yang selalu
menyebabkan benda bergeraak bolak-balik disekitar titik
kesetimbangan

Besarnya gaya pemulih menurut Robert Hooke dirumuskan

sebagai berikut:
⊷ F = -kx
Tanda minus menunjukkan bahwa gaya pemulih selalu pada
arah yang berlawanan dengan simpangannya. Jika
digabungkan persamaan di atas dengan hukum II Newton,
maka diperoleh persamaan berikut.
