PEST ANALYSIS
• Threat of new entrants (high)-The content and interactive method can easily be
copied by new players. Also, the interest of investors in the sector makes it easier for
new companies to enter.
• Threat of substitutes (moderate)- Main substitute of Byju’s is khan academy which
offers around 13000 videos, game mechanics, etc. to engage students. Moreover, the
content is free which makes it easier for customer to switch. But since the quality is not
comparable to Byju’s, the threat is moderate.
PORTER’S FIVE FORCES
• Bargaining power of buyer (high)- Availability of alternatives and Low switching cost.
• Should BYJU’S expand into the US’s Competitive K-12 education market when so much
opportunity still existed at home?
• What should the do differently to enter US?
