INTRODUCTION
• Pervious concrete is the special type of concrete with high
porosity used for concrete flatwork application that allows
water from precipitation and other sources to pass directly
through, thereby reducing runoff from a site and allowing
ground water recharge. This is also known as No fines,
gap graded or porous concrete.
APPLICATIONS
•It is mostly applied in roads with
low traffic usage and sidewalks.
•Noise barriers, decks of swimming
pools
•Used in sludge beds in sewage
treatment plants,.
•Also used for tennis courts,
embankments and wall lining in
water wells.
Pervious concrete used in
•Aquatic amusement centres.
tennis court •It is also used in parking areas.
AIM
• Experimental Investigation On Use Of Hypo
Sludge In Pervious Concrete.

Permeability of pervious concrete

OBJECTIVES
• TO improve quality and reduce the cost of
construction materials such as
morter,concrete,concrete roof ,tile and soil
cement interlocking block.
• To reduce negative environmental effect and lnd
full volume ,which is required for eliminating the
waste of ash.
• To increase the workability of concrete.
• To produce low weight concrete in the society
with waste material(SCBA).
LITERATURE REVIEW
• Dr. D. B. Raijiwala, Ganesan et al(1), “Experimental Study on
Use of Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash in Concrete by Partially
Replacement with Cement”.
• Studied the effects of SCBA content as partial replacement of
cement (0-30%) on physical and mechanical properties of
hardened concrete. The properties of concrete were
investigated include compressive strength, splitting tensile
strength, water absorption, permeability characteristics, chloride
diffusion and resistance to chloride ion penetration. All tests
carried out in accordance with Indian Standards. The test results
indicated that SCBA is an effective mineral admixture up to 20%
replacement was advantageous. The increase in strength may be
partially due to the pozzolanicreaction .

• Dr.A.K.Mishra, Srinivasan et al.(2) , “Comparative study of
concrete strength by partially replacing cement with
sugarcane bagasse ash and Fly Ash”
• Studied chemical and physical characterization of
SCBA, and partially replaced in the ratio of 0%, 5%, 15% and
25% by weight of cement in concrete. Compressive
strength, split tensile strength, flexural strength and
modulus of elasticity at the age of 7 and 28 days was
obtained as per Indian Standards. It was found that the
cement could be advantageously replaced with SCBA up to
a maximum limit of 10%. Therefore it is possible to use
sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) as cement replacement
material to improve quality and reduce the cost of
construction materials such as concrete
Methodology
Testing of Material : 1] Tests on cement
a)Specific Gravity Of Cement
b)Fineness of Cement
c)Consistency Of Cement
2] Tests on aggregates
a)Specific Gravity of Aggregates
3] Tests on concrete
a)Slump Cone Test
b)Compresive Strength
C)Permeability Test
d)Infiltration Test
Outcomes
• 1)With the use of sugar cane bagasse ash in
partially replacement of cement in concrete.
• 2) We can increase the strength of concrete.
• 3)We can reduce the consumption of cement.
• 4)Also it is best use of sugar cane bagasse ash
instead of land filling and make environment
clean.
