RULES

 Simon will give you a lot of instructions.


 You have to follow all the instructions that Simon will say.
If Simon’s instructions are preceded by “Simon says”, then you must
follow it.
 If not, then you must not follow the instructions.

Adverb
- is a word that modifies a
verb, adjective, another adverb
or even the whole sentence.
Adverbs of intensity/degree
tell us about the intensity of
something. Adverbs of intensity
are usually placed before the
adjective, adverb, or verb that
they modify, although there
are some exceptions. The words
"too", "enough", "very", and

Adverbs of intensity tell us the
degree or intensity of an action,
adjective or another adverb.
With adjectives, the adverb of
intensity goes before the adjective.
With adverbs as well, the adverb
of degree goes before the adverb.

repetition or
frequency.
We use adverbs of frequency to say how often we do
something. Adverbs of frequency are often used with the
present simple because they indicate repeated or routine
activities.
They often go out for dinner.
I never go to the cinema. I don't like it.
I don't mind going to the theater. I sometimes go with my
friends.
Never say never.
She likes dancing. She always goes to the night club to
dance.
They usually quarrel. I rarely see them in good terms
with each other.
Other adverbs of frequency include:

Generally speaking, adverbs of frequency
come before the main verb except the main
verb "to be":

I sometimes visit my uncle.


We often see him pass by the house.

They are seldom at work.


Occasionally, sometimes, often,
frequently and usually
can also go at the beginning or end of a
sentence.
Examples:
Sometimes they visit him.
They visit him sometimes.
I miss him occasionally.
Rarely and seldom can also go at the
end of a sentence (often with "very"):

We see them very rarely.
