CONTEXT / ISSUES VISION OF SUCCESS


• Students in the institute are facing problem of non-availability of sufficient reference • Success would be achieve when a mechanism would be created which would provide
materials for academic activities (Problem Statement) knowledge about various courses offered at the institute
• Senior batches of the institute have already carried out research / project work on
various topics being taught, this could serve as an explainer for junior batch students • For the students, success would be achieved when they won’t have to worry about cross
• The main purpose is to create a system wherein knowledge gained by senior batches is field knowledge irrespective of the elective subject they have taken
preserved & transferred to junior batches when they require
• For the purpose of solving the problem, we would need details about the cases already • For faculties, success would be achieved when the students would be able to prepare in a

5 Why Analysis
• Observed Problem: Students are demanding more visiting faculties to be
invited, more courses to be offered and ultimately re-conduct courses selection
process
• Why1? Students are not happy with the course selection procedure
• Why 2? They are not getting the subjects and faculty combination they wanted
to
• Why3? There are too many students preferring one combination of subject-
faculty combination and there is biasness towards in-house and visiting
faculties for some subjects
• Why4? Institute cannot provide access to same subject-faculty combination as
there is a limitation to number of students in a class and also number of hours
a visiting faculty can spend teaching in IIM Rohtak
• Why5? There is no mechanism to store and share videos and learnings by
faculties and senior students in detailed format
