Teminal Pinang Baris berada di Kecamatan Medan Sunggal di kelurahan Pinang Baris tepatnya
pada Jl. Tahi Bonar Simatupang, Lalang, Kec. Medan Sunggal, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara
20127.
 DESKRIPSI TERMINAL PINANG BARIS

Terminal Terpadu Pinang Baris atau sering disingkat sebagai TTPB adalah salah satu dari 2 terminal terpadu perhubungan
darat di Kota Medan. Terminal pinang baris merupakan terminal tipe A yaitu terminal utama yang melayani angkutan kota antar
provinsi dan angkutan lintas batas Negara, angkutan kota dalam provinsi , angkutan dalam kota dan angkutan pedesaan.
DESKRIPSI TERMINAL PINANG BARIS
Terminal Pinang Baris dibangun
diatas tanah kosong milik pemerintah
Kota Medan serta di tambah dengan
tanah bekas pekuburan etnis Tionghoa
sehingga terminal ini dibangun diatas
lahan dengan luas total 33.430 m².
Pelaksanaan pembangunan terminal
secara fisik dimulai pada bulan Mei
1990 dan keseluruhan pembangunan
rampung dilaksanakan pada akhir
Desember 1991. Terminal ini diperg
unakan pada 14 Oktober 1993 yang di
resmikan Gubernur Sumatera Utara,
Raja Inal Siregar.

Bangunan Induk berfungsi bagi penumpang untuk kenyamanan menunggu

kenyamanan membeli tiket, maupun layanan informasi bagi para calon
penumpang, dan juga berfungsi sebagai pekantoran

tidak lagi digunakan karena tidak
ada seorang satpam atau yang

Sirkulasi kedaraan dan Parkir
Sirkulasi Kendaraan

Sirkulasi kendaraan paling padat terjadi di Jalan TB Simatupang. Jalan TB Simatupang merupakan
jalan dua arah dengan dua lajur, namun pada saat tertentu sering terjadi kemacetan karena penum
pukan kendaraan seperti becak mesin maupun angkutan yang sedang menunggu penumpang. Jala
n TB Simatupang juga jalan masuk ke terminal dan termasuk salah satu jalan paling padat dilalui ol
eh kendaraan, terutama pada pagi dan sore hari. Penyebab utama kemacetan pada jalan ini menur
ut pengamatan karena beberapa pengemudi angkutan umum menaik-turunkan penumpang tidak p
ada tempatnya, hal ini juga disebabkan kurangnya penegtahuan calon penumpang akan fungsi ter
minal
 Jalur sirkulasi kendaraan pada area terminal

Permasalahan yang terjadi pada sirkulasi kendaraan adalah Jalur masuk antara bus dan angkutan
umum tidak dibedakan hal ini yang sering menimbulkan macet karena terjadi penumpukan
kendaraan pada jalan TB Simatupang.

Situasi kendaraan bus maupun angkutan umum di dalam areal terminal, terlihat parkir yang beranta
kan dan tidak teratur diakibatkan penzoningan lokasi parkir bagi kendaraan umum tidak jelas .
 Permasalahan yang terjadi pada sirkulasi parkir

Pengguna parkir kendaraan pribadi

Kurangnya kesadaran para merasa tidak aman dengan area
pemilik kendaraan angkutan tersebut sehingga parkir kendaraan
umum untuk menertibkan di dalam bangunan bukan pada lahan
kendaraan nya yang sudah di sediakan
