Security Officer The Team Leader ❖ Responsible for the safety and work performance of the individual member of the SOCO Team at the CS. ❖ Assumes Control of the CS processing and ensure Security at the scene ❖ Coordinate with other Law enforcement agencies involved and make sure cooperation is maintained ❖ Conduct initial walk-through for the purpose of crime assessment, making preliminary survey evaluation of potential evidence and preparing a narrative report. Photographer ❖ 1. Photographs entire area before it is entered. ❖ 2. Photograph victim, crowd and vehicles ❖ 3. Photograph entire scene with general, medium and close-up coverage and extreme close-up view using measurement scale when appropriate ❖ 4. Photographs major evidence items before they are moved. Coordinate this effort with the Sketcher, Evidence Custodian and Collector. ❖ 5. Take final photographs to show the condition as released. Sketcher ❖ 1. Make a diagram of the immediate area of the scene with True North as the main orientation. ❖ 2. Indicate on sketch the pieces of evidence and nominate evidence tags with the custodian and collector. ❖ 3. Indicate adjacent structures, areas and other objects as necessary. ❖ 4. Identify and label areas to be searched and inform the TL and other searchers for identified areas. ❖ 5. Make sure that the rough sketch is signed by the IOC. Evidence Custodian

❖ 2. Coordinate evidence tag with the Sketcher. ❖ 3. Receive and record all evidence at the scene. ❖ 4. Undertake evidence packaging and preservation ❖ 5. Maintain Chain of Custody of evidence. Evidence Collector
❖ 1. Responsible for Collection of each piece of evidence.
❖ 2. Ensure that the proper tags and evidence logs are properly documented. ❖ 3. Coordinate with the Sketcher as to the sequence of collection. ❖ 4. Turn-over all collected evidence to the Custodian.
